Our Product Story

Reginald Wescott Sr. is the second son of the late Reverend Robert and Dorothea Wescott Sr. He grew up in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Wescott was educated in the public school system and graduated from high school in 1969. Mr. Wescott was married to Joyce Welles in 1972. They had six children: one son and five daughters. Each of their children married and had children of their own, giving Mr. Wescott and his wife 20 grandchildren. Throughout the last 50, Mr. Wescott has worked diligently as a home remodeling contractor to support his family and to give them opportunities that would afford them a successful and comfortable lifestyle. With life comes struggles, Mr. Wescott and his family were not oblivious to this. Mr. Wescott managed to persevere through the struggles of raising 6 children, providing for his family, and setting them up for success.

His hard work, great work ethic, and determination to make things happen have given him great reward and blessed both his nuclear and extended family as well as friends and neighbours.  Another superpower that Mr. Wescott has is his ability to be optimistic in every situation.  Not only does he see the glass as half full, but he finds a way to fill the glass despite the circumstances. When problems arise, he goes to work to come up with a solution. Coming up with concept of The Body Hook-Up was one of those great moment!

Mr. Wescott has been a contractor for almost 50 years which helped put all his children through college, kept a roof over his family, provided food on the table, clothes on their backs, and opportunities for growth and exploration.  As hard as Mr. Wescott worked to provide for his family, his wife worked just as hard to nurture the family.  She was a homemaker for many years providing the stability, comfort, and structure that made the family work. Together they were a great team creating the ultimate power couple! Once their youngest daughter started elementary school, Mrs. Wescott felt a strong calling to help nurture children and support young parents.  She had a vision; together Mr. Wescott and his wife began the plans to open a day care center.

Although Mrs. Wescott wanted to help nurture other children, she did not want to take away from nurturing her own young children who were in elementary and middle school at the time. Mr. Wescott is an innovator, another of his superpowers. He used what he had to make the vision of the day care come to pass while honouring his wife’s wishes to stay close to home so she could continue to be available for her children.  The house next to his family’s house was for sale. Mr. Wescott bought it, using his construction skills to remodel the space into one suitable for a day care center.  Not only did he transform the property, but he added an addition to the space between the two houses to connect the properties.  This way Mrs. Wescott had access to her business without leaving home. Within a couple years they outgrew the space, so purchased a commercial property with a parking lot and separate playground.  This allowed them to expand their enrolment and grow within the community.  The property was in walking distance from his family’s home.  As Mr. Wescott’s children grew they began to work at the day care center learning the trade and learning how to become entrepreneurs. From there, Mr. Wescott and his wife went on to a larger facility. They currently have two day care centres operating, to care for over 150 children. The day care centres are operated by 3 of their 6 children.

Unfortunately, Mr. Wescott’s wife passed away in 2021. At 70 years old, he decided to retire from contracting. This was to spendmore time enjoying his family and working on his invention ideas. During his wife’s bout of illnesses Mr. Wescott never left her side.  He became her primary caretaker with support from their children.  With his wife’s illness Mr. Wescott sought specialist and remedies that would help ease her pain and strengthen her body.  He was always reading to learn and attending seminars to help him gain knowledge that would help his wife.  He would often quote a bible verse to his children explaining why he was always eager and diligent about learning, “My people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge” Hosea 4:6 KIV.  His wife suffered complications associated with being bedridden.  The nurses that would come to the house explained to Mr. Wescott that some issues were caused from pressure, which is common when someone is in one spot for a long period of time.  The nurses explained the need to rotate his wife from side to side to avoid this from happening.  After some thought, Mr. Wescott manipulated the bed to function in a way that alleviated much of the pressure and assisted with other aspects of his wife’s care.

Throughout the years, Mr. Wescott has had multiple inventions and awesome ideas; so often that he is almost always in the garage proving concepts of different ideas.  His ideas all come from trying to help someone solve an issue and to make things a little easier.  The Body Hook-Up is one of his ideas, that originated from trying to make it easier for his children and grandchildren to multitask with their devices for work and play.He is known by all his family and friends as “The Brain”. If there is a problem, he WILL solve it!

Mr. Wescott currently has three utility patens and several ideas brewing.
